    Strawberry Cake A family favorite.

  • Step 1: Gather Ingredients

    Here's what you'll need:
    1 (18.25 oz.) box white cake mix
    4 eggs
    1 (3 oz.) box strawberry gelatin
    2 (10 oz.) boxes frozen strawberries, thawed and drained, reserving juice
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    1 stick butter
    1 (16 oz.) box confectioners' sugar

  • Step 2: Mix it Up!

    In mixer, using all the drained juice from the strawberries and 1/2 the berries. When well blended, pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans. Wax liner in bottom of pans is helpful. Bake in a 350 degree oven 20-25 minutes. Cool.

  • Step 3: Frosting

    Combine 1 of stick butter, confectioners' sugar and remaining strawberries in a mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until blended. If needed, add 1 teaspoon of water at a time until desired consistency. Spread on cooled cake layers.

  • Step 4: Serve and Enjoy!

    Keep this cake cool in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve.
