Step 3 - Stuff the Turkey
Stuff turkey lightly with prepared stuffing.
KEEPING IT SAFE: Do not stuff the turkey until you are ready to put it into the oven to roast it. Stuffing is done when meat thermometer inserted in center of stuffing reaches 165° F. Bake any extra stuffing in separate covered baking dish in oven with turkey for the last 30 minutes of the turkey baking time.
COOKING KNOW-HOW: Use 1 package (6 oz.) stuffing for a bird up to 8 lb., 2 packages (6 oz. each) stuffing for an 8 to 12-lb. bird, and 3 packages (6 oz. each) stuffing for a 12 to 20-lb. bird.
SPECIAL EXTRA: Add one or more of the following ingredients to the prepared stuffing before spooning into turkey: 1/2 cup of your favorite PLANTERS Nuts; fresh or dried fruit, such as 1 chopped apple or 1/2 cup dried cranberries; 6 oz. pork sausage, cooked and drained; 1/2 lb. chopped cooked chicken; 1 cup chopped bell peppers, cooked; 1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained; 1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese.
