  • Harveys Butterscotch Dip for Apples

    butterscotch dip This delectable dip is the perfect complement to apples... or any of your favorite sliced fruit for snacking.

  • Step 1: Gather Ingredients

    Here's what you'll need:
    1 (12 oz.) package butterscotch morsels
    1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
    1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 tablespoon vinegar
    2 round tablespoons Fresh Fruit for apples

  • Step 2

    Place all ingredients in a saucepan and heat over low until melted and blended (makes one pint). Serve warm with red and green apple slices (4-6 apples according to number serving).

  • Step 3

    Wash and core apples and slice into glass bowl containing 2 quarts water and 2 rounded tablespoons Fresh Fruit. Drain on paper towels and arrange around butterscotch dip.

    This is a colorful dish that is nice for many occasions.

  • Final

    Tips:
    If dip becomes too thick and sugary, add water (one tablespoon at a time) and heat until desired consistency is reached.

    You may want to serve in a fondue pot, or in a microwavable bowl (to microwave after it cools), as this dip is best when served warm.
